Hold On

Roselyn

When the world has taken its toll on you.

When it disappoints once again.

When it is absolutely and devastatingly suffocating.

Please remember my dear.

Life is short.

It won't last very long anyway.

So be strong, for the little girl that you once were.

Who was filled with hope.

With happiness.

Who picked flowers at the park for the first time.

Whose feet touched the sand at the beach for the very first time.

Who tasted strawberry ice cream for that first time.

Just remember how it felt.

Before this disappointment of a world took your soul away.
