Untitled

abcdefg

Everyday gets harder than the last,

its like walking on a summer street.

The first steps are easy, but as you

continue it gets hotter and hotter.

Each step causes more pain than the last.

They tell me it will get better,

yet they are the same ones who push

me further down the road.

They say they will be there beside me,

yet they stay a couple steps behind me.

They say they understand the pain yet

their feet are protected from the heat.

I fear when I reach the end I will

turn back and they won't be behind me.

I fear the burns I will have to look down

and see. I fear the end as much as I

dread and hate the now.
