Maxine Smith

You give me paper

I give you ink

You home my thoughts

I watch the words sink

My blank canvas

Lost in possibility

Intentions unclear

Beauty in uncertainty

Pen to paper

My journey unfolds

The end is unwritten

Excited to be told

  • Comment from author about the poem: A little write about taking advantage of life. ‘Don’t worry about the past, so live for today, as we are not promised tomorrow’ - a favourite quote of mine. Life is like art, like paper, a blank canvas awaiting to be told, don’t be defeated, life is unwritten and it’s for us to create our story. I’m a believer in fate, I am also believe in PMA and making the most of everything to so, just a little write about that really, hope you like. Photo of my family, my kids, neices and sister, making memories, make adventures, liveLoveHard.

The concept of making memories and not relying on things for our happiness you bring out so clearly with this lovely collection of family pictures and words which make readers think - - well done again Maxine for reminders of what really counts in our search for a full life.
