stop

Maura

breathe in

a throbbing in my head, a pounding in my mind

my chest is tight and it can't do its part.

stop. I want it all to stop.

my body aches from the irritation

blood slowly runs from vein to vein,

gradually stopping my life.

a heart beat in my throat as my vital organ

tries to escape from me - the monster inside of me.

stop the pain.

stop the thumping.

stop the sobbing.

but still let me live; let me continue breathing

breathe out
