Wave the stars goodbye

Gemma

Let the cobwebs slip away

Face the sorrows of today

Hold your head up high

Without asking why

Would they really have a clue

What you've been going through

There doesn't have to be a reason why

Just wave the stars goodbye

Let your troubles slip away

Keep your worries well at bay

Sew a smile on your face

They will never see a trace

Of the past you've left behind

Just wave the stars goodbye

Great rhyming. If I could offer some constructive critique though, I'd like to say that you don't absolutely need to rhyme, and rhyming shouldn't be a crutch for lines that have little reason for being there besides the rhyme itself.

Thank you I will keep that in mind for next time

Uplifting yes, but our yesterdays make us what we are today. We carry our yesterdays either as a burden or an education.
Recently i read a poem on MPS where the poet said the purpose of our life in this existence was to educate s for the next.... food for thought.
