Hold On

GON

Wait just a minute Mr. Evergreen

You've got to hold on before going on

Wait just a sec with your anxiety

You've got to hold on before going on

Wait just a minute; take the time to breathe

You've got to hold on before going on

Wait just a second and speak to me

I may not make it right but I'll give it a try

Are you begging for help or do you just need love?

You told me once that it's in your blood

I've got to say when I look at you, I see something else

So don't start throwing punches below the belt

What in this world has got you blue?

Is there anything that I can do?

What in this world has gone so wrong?

You've got to hold on before going on

Remember when we got lost on the beach

The tide moved us sideways so sneakily

And we just laughed and let time pass

We only have so much and it goes so fast

Wait just a minute Mr. Panic Attack

We can work through this if you try to relax

Hold on just a second my dearest love

Don't leave me behind in a cloud of dust

What in this world can I do for you?

Should I break my back or do you need some room?

What in this world needs setting right?

You know I'll be beside you, day and night

What in this world has got you blue?

Is there anything for you that I can do?

You've got to hold on before going on

Just hold on to me and let me sing for you

Why in the world has it come to this?

I will make you ten million promises

If it would mean you would hold on to me

Whatever it takes, I'll hold on too
