This Is How I Feel About Writing: Pt. 1 & 2

Noah Malice

I wake up and I'm this

I shake up some of that

I take a shot but miss

Every target I aim at

All the people in the street don't look at me

They have lives to live and they're in a hurry

I'm sitting now because I want to write it down

But I can't think of words good enough to show around

This is hard

This is hard

This is hard

But I say, "I can do it; I'm a superstar."

I put on a song

A few minutes long

And I like the words but I can't use them because someone already did

Someone already has

It isn't fair

This isn't fair

Nothing is fair

But I pull myself together because they're starting to stare

Alright, enough fooling around

You're in the middle of town

Put your pen and paper together now

And write something worth reading down

Did you ever see a more beautiful thing

Than the light between those angel wings?

Spread them far and flap them too

Maybe one day something good will come to you

How could you dream a more beautiful thing

Than the sound of those delicately singing birds?

If you try to make amends and spend more time with your friends

Maybe one day you'll sing such beautiful words

One day you'll fly out of here

One day all the crowds will cheer

And one day you might just sing

Something good enough for the birds

All the pretty words go to the birds

All the pretty people flock and say

Nothing is going right here

But I'd like to stay anyway

This is a really beautiful poem.it truly is how I feel when I sit and try to force myself to write. So I don't.When it flows out of me,is what I feel I am meant to write.
