The Mouse and the Honey

Infinitude Gamer

                              The mouse sat down,

                           He could hardly be pleased

With just one piece of cheese,

                                 And then he smelt,

                           Clearly through the breeze,

                         Some honey from some bees,

                                   And then he felt,

                                 A tingle in his nose,

                                  And then he froze,

                                At that very moment,

He felt so very much alive

And he decided to go to the hive,

And as he reached the hive,

                           He was feeling very brave,

He gave himself a boost of strength and climbed into the hive,

                               The bees were asleep,

But just then his leg started to ache,

At anytime the bees could awake so he knew he couldn’t take a break,

He grabbed a handful of honey,

Then he grabbed a handful more,

He knew it wouldn’t hurt just to take a little little more,

                              And then it was happening,

It was all just a blur,

But all he knew was that the bees had finished their napping,

He looked at the honey in his hand and took a lick,

He heard a buzzing and felt a very painful prick,

He just wanted to flee from those very angry bees,

He felt very sick from that prick but he needed to escape,

But when he jumped he got a scrape from the shell of the hive,

And then he fell to the ground with a thump,

It was a very painful bump,

He ran for his hole as quick as a foal,

He was home at last, he would have to forget his unpleasant past
