Mistakes

Appletree

Muddled mischievous mistakes.

I make them regularly.

They slip out when I'm not looking,

run into a conversation, Raccoons in my mental garbage.

Often they start innocently enough,

a point to be well-made,

an idea or comment to be shared,

but then they turn, damned cacophonies of confrontation, damned too for their source.

I watch, floating above the situation

as myself betrays me

I cringe at his naivety,

this outspoken, opinionated, oh here he goes again man.

Does everyone feel this way?

Others steer a straighter path,

I drift, lost in an ocean of anxiety.

These muddled mischievous mistakes.

Great post, very relatable. And you use humour to express frustration, refreshing change from all the anger around.

Not always the case.....I get angry too often I suspect. You're right though, we all need to relax a ltille.
