Animals Right On Time
I enjoy the fireflies
In late afternoon
When they go blinking
Under an early moon
And in the evening
I can sense the night
With the whip-poor-will
Calling in delight
And when the night
I hear the mighty owl
Hooting as he goes
Flying and on the prowl
When the early morning
I hear the rooster there
Just before the light
As day is prepared
And when the day
There is life that goes
With the players there
Busy like a crow
