Blessings From Above

Alicia Gail Lightsey

Our heart is like an invisible seed

A treasure planted by God indeed

A flower garden of grace and love

Kissed by raindrops from heaven above

Brilliant colors, brightly glowing

Yes, we are God’s children freely growing

Just look around you-you will see us there

We are precious jewels we are everywhere

You can see us in the shining sun, a smiling face

Even in oppression and despair we run the race

For those who hate us we return love

Not only do we win we overcome and rise above

At times the journey is rough but we march on

God is on our side and He makes us strong

Our Father is creator, the universe belongs to Him

For those who do not believe, we pray for them

We shine like beacon lights for the world to see

That God and His Glory lives in you and me

The world is the field so take time to sow

Plant good seeds wherever you go

When harvesting time comes and your fruits spring up

You’ll understand the blessing of an overflowing cup

So plant your garden with grace and love

Then watch God sends Blessings From Above
