Women’s rights. Women’s rights,
Babies’ rights. Babies' rights
Get your rosaries off our ovaries.
Save the 8th
Repeal the 8th
Chanting in the streets.
I don’t know when the pro- life people
Realised that they would have to
Concede defeat
And that their campaigning had failed
As the dawn broke on 26th May
A victory for pro- choice was hailed.
Where does that leave us now?
Soon the unborn will be seen
As disposable:
Just go to the nearest abortion provider
Maybe a degree of conscience will linger
I guess that will fade
(Though for some it will remain)
And a lady may end the life
She no-longer wants growing inside her.
