The Testement

francis

I wear a cross to mark my shame
Of not being what I could be
What I should be
A corpse hangs off my rope
Symbolizing how much he could cope
Of how I can't
Of how I truly can't
My confidence deafening
I have to be better
I'm meant to be better
Why can't I relax
Be at beach
A place of devotion
Of no worries
But I search for stress
I search for diversions
On my path in life
Of what I seek
But I still wear this cross
To remind me to find my way
My way to that beach
Where there's no trouble
Where I can find my peace
Home at last
Home at last
