She visits in waves

Kay.

And once where the ocean wave were to dance upon the horizon, it now tip-toed naively to shore. 

Only to crash abruptly against the sand by my feet, jolting me from my propitious daydream. 

And as I imagine the wave had feared upon realising it was betrothed to shore, i desperately pull away. Clutching at what small part of dream remained.

As the sand reached around my toes, and the cold forced reality. Solitude offers her hand, and I follow, unwillingly.
