Ice Cream With Alice

Noah Malice

I met Alice in a dream and she was so nice

We went out for ice cream and the place had mice

And she had a pretty dress, the frilly blue kind

I was impressed but she didn't seem to mind

So I thought I'd better take things up a notch

I said Look at the time! and pulled a pocket watch

And the hands didn't seem to know where to go

I leaned in anyway for a kiss but missed- Oh no!

The dream was over so I crawled out of bed

And wrote it down to keep it in my head

Anyhow, the strangest thing happened in town

I bumped into Alice and knocked her to the ground

Oh me, oh my I helped her up and

Offered her to take my hand and said

You should know I've been seeing you in my dreams

Oh that was so stupid I think I could scream

I said Uhm we were having ice cream and there were rats

But instead she just  looked like I shouldn't have said that

She was holding my hand but something seemed wrong

I looked around and everyone else was gone

But her hair was done and her dress was so pretty

And the way she looked at me made me forgetty

She said I think there's something that you should know

Why don't we talk it over some ice cream to-go?
