The Disciples
There was one now there are millions
Like the skies had opened and the rain delivered them
they’d all come to earth
To tell us we were lost
There was one without a reason
Asked a question that had no answer
So we followed him to his death bed
wrapped him in a shroud to keep him
There was one whom we believed in
he said; love my father for he will keep you
He’ll protect you from the evil
So we built houses in which we prayed
There was one who had no hatred
Who moved amongst us in the market
He washed our feet and made us well again
He fed us all when he had nothing
There was one the world was full of him
He was the glow in every candle, hope
where there was nothing but despair
and they called us, his disciples...

Great spiritual piece, without being preachy like so many do. Great post.
