can't write

my heart got broken yesterday 

worse than ever before 

so terribly that I can't even write 

I can't get my words on a page 

it's unfair that a single individual 

can destroy something you love 

but it happens 

it's a hiccup in a long breath

a breath that has to be taken 

in order to keep alive 

my dearest apologies are devoted 

to those who feel these feelings 

through a broken read 

of a broken heart 

a broken heart that deserves to be held 

held with care 

held with support 

held with kindness 

we don't deserve everything we get given 

but it is just all a part 

of the broken world
