Loves Confusion

olivergreenwood20

The most confused we ever get is when we try to convince our heads of something our heart knows is a lie.

We build up walls

We block out memories

and all for the sake of avoiding pain.

We seek the easy road

and avoid love.

We hide in our pride and our strengths

Because our love is our weakness

Our love is our fear.

We bleed so that something other than fear rushes out

We cry so we can wash away the guilt we feel

We run towards safety

yet sulk in shadows of our lies

Our lies become reality

Our love becomes hatred

and our happiness becomes our hell

Society dictates what we can and cannot do

Media shows us that "feeling" is awful

and we cement our hearts behind a wall of lies

so that we do not have to face the darkness that love brings.
