Two Gentleman and the Woman in Room 334.

Plentiful Laughing

The seductive aromas of ladies perfumes enveloped the lobby of the hotel and to add to the mix the bitter and rich smell of gentlemen's cigars.

He enjoyed both scents as he took  a promenade across the lobby taking in the sights, the smells and the sounds that welcomed him as soon as he arrived at the hotel. The group of Gentlemen smoking their Cuban or Churcill cigars gave him one curious and cautious glance then returned to whatever topic of conversation they were having amongst themselves and adding another puff of smoke into the air. The ladies however when he passed them, silently followed him with lustful and playful eyes taking a sip of fine red wine leaving a trace of their painted kiss on the glass.

He nodded without a word and smiled in their direction earning him shy giggles and more playful glances his way. He stopped one of the waiters and ordered a gimlet along with a Cuban cigar. When he received his drink and cigar he chose a lone table near the lobby's fountain taking a seat and watching the crowd of guests enter and exit with curious and suspicious eyes.

The cool spray of the fountain hit the nape of his neck but it was not what caused him to get goose bumps, instead it was the woman in the dark blue dress that had silver vines swirling across the front of her dress with blooming crimson roses. She was like a dark and divine goddess made flesh and bone and he felt the stirrings of darkest longing and passion erupt inside him.

Her eyes were like firey gold that scanned the lobby as she walked in and towards the elevators which led to room 334 which he knew was hers for the night. Finishing his cigar and gimlet he took the opposite elevator and followed her to room 334 keeping out of sight until she entered.

Checking if there was any other soul around he found himself contented seeing none then pulling out a silenced luger used the extra key he pick pocketed from one of the hotels staff to unlock the door to room 334.

Hearing the sounds of running water in the bathroom he quickly closed the door without a sound and walked towards the bathroom door reaching with one hand to open it while aiming the luger with the other.

Opening the door with rapid movement he fired three times into the bathroom but hit only the showers walls. He only had time to register  that no one was in the room when suddenly he felt sudden and searing pain coming from his back.

Screaming but producing no sound he collapsed to the floor and glanced upwards to find the woman staring down at him holding a silenced luger of her own which still had smoke coming out of the barrel.

She gave him a look of boredom and distaste then emptied her luger into his back then after this murder was committed laid the pistol on the floor and went to the phone and called the cleaners to remove the body and the two guns. Afterwards when both were removed without being seen by other guests and the hotel staff, she used the phone again and ordered a  dish of Red Herring and a glass of vodka.

The next day Agent Rose S. Dark informed her superiors that the traitor was dealt with.

She took a long breath of her cigar then blew smoke out watching for the other traitor to reveal himself and sure enough a well dressed gentleman walked into the hotel making a pass with a passing waitress before looking around for a certain woman who he was hired to silence but unknown to him and the deceased traitor killed the week before was hired by the target herself.

She smiled at the irony of the situation then stood up and walked to the elevators to room 334 .
