Hurting

noelliesplace

Finding a treasure chest of light

Within black caverns of rusty nails

Look past the leather wings and claws

The barking guard dog has no bite

Nor the coiled serpent with sharpened scales

Take strength cherishing what was

Gently floating above comes a saving acolyte

Sends down storms of loving gales

Such illumination giving pause

Gentle beauty easing all your fright

The hole is still there as faith lifts the black veil
