Candlewitch

parallel of old souls

parallel of old souls

I am the hour...
of three a.m.
I was born from midnight
I have since matured,
like a vintage wine.
from the whisper of evening
and its premature celebration.
of black velvet night.
I bring dreams,
both restless and serene
and I have the ability
to make grown men weep.
I whisper of love and death
into your deepest wishes I seep.
I am the silently active hour
that is in parallel
with old souls.
but most know me only
as the hour of three a.m.

oooh wow! powerful stuff! This is quite magnificent.
Three a.m. brings out something in those of us unaccustomed to being awake at that hour. I think you truly captured some of its magic in your words.

Very good write, 3 a.m. is the time when the things I was trying to remember during the day come into my mind.

in this, we are of the same mind!
