Wings, with Divine Design

DjPoet11

I lay broken and bruised shattered a crossed the forests floor
Weeping and painful my wounds bleed and sting
I create armor, a cushion to surround me so I may endure
I follow directions and persistent demands for what is expected of me
I long to be good enough and efficient for you to smile back at me with pride
Instead I fall short of your expectations and face your verbal vengeance
Tears fill my eyes, with a smile I must lead for nobody can see me slowly dying
Even though your icy soul forms a igloo around me
My soul is the fire deep within, my spirit the moon in the darkest of the night
I walk the pathway with determination and faith I will discover pure and good
Each day I endure the fire fades and the moon dims.
Then one day I see a light off in the distance, with the question dream or reality
My days are as dark as the night with the sound of a whip landing upon me
I reach for the light, and hold the beauty as my guide
I follow this light never loosing sight of the presence of peace within it
Explanations are strived for unfounded answers but I still walk to the light.
A hand reaches out from the light accompanied by the words that all is right
A being stands through the light, with presence and wisdoms of delight
Wounds are filled one by one with a substance known as true and real love
The deepest fears are gently tamed all the while the cage is torn apart
My wings are dusted off and under construction with a Devine design
The beauty of the light guides me and forms a wonderful man before me
The journey leads me into great depths and darkness
The light surrounding me glowing guides me, on a wondrous adventure
In the greatest darkness I found the astonishing beauty of your light
We now walk hand in hand through the hot coals and the cool waters
Proud and honored our lights the guide we build a empire together with dignity and pride
