His Eyes

Anasyil

Such beauty in his eyes,

yet what he sees in mine?

Pain and scars

buried at the heart.

Earth be cruel!

But nature so beautiful.

Colors of the light

hidden beauty of his eyes.

Emotions bare me great pain

yet emotions in his eyes

express a kind of beauty

even more precious than jewels.

The forest in his eyes;

a place of life for all.

Come, see the Great Plains!

Race with me as the wind

chases me into a gentle dream.

Look at the ocean!

Look at the river!

A gentle stream

running through his eyes;

graceful and tranquil.

Alas! The sun sets!

So luminous and vibrant!

Yet in his eyes,

it is everlasting.

Earth is cruel,

but nature is beautiful.

Our common ground:

pain and scars

buried in our hearts.

His eyes are so beautiful…

And yet…

What he sees in mine?

  • Comment from author about the poem: As someone has suggested, I will add an original love poem I had written in the past. This is the very first love poem I ever written to him. I love him too much in the past, but he played and wrecked me in the end. Yet, when I think back in the beginning of when I first fell in love with this person, I realize beginnings are always bliss. It is the end that holds tragedy. Nothing is ever a waste, as I was able to create beautiful art out of this tragedy. I no longer love him, but his betrayal and selfishness; breaking me and destroying me; that will never be forgotten...

      Thank you so much! A heartbreak is never easy, but I eventually found my way.
