Living in Solitude

Anasyil

Forever, I walk alone on the same path

where there is no sight of my real home.

Barefoot on heated black stones filled with wrath;

burns are painful, I continued to roam.

I do not see any building nor tree.

Just a deserted road where my tears fall.

I want happiness, but I must agree

living in solitude becomes my call.

If I was to stop, I may burn to death.

If I turn back, there is nothing but ash.

My kingdom is destroyed, taking my breath;

Have no choice but to move on in a flash.

So here I am, walking an endless road.

I hope to finally see a crossroad.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I believe at some point in our lives, we all felt as if we were alone. I often feel loneliness engulfing me daily. It is certainly never a good feeling. We may be physically alone,but spiritually God is with us.I once heard that when we are hurting and in need,is when He is closest to us.Google" footprints in the sand"it might help,it did with my loneliness.Thank you for sharing Anasyil.

      I read that story before. It's a beautiful story. For the time we fall, God carried us through. Thank you.
