it's all I have, and something I can never reclaim
impossible to be present, as my mind lets my body race away
the here and now is a instant memory that will replay over in my thoughts
as I absorb that the experience is spent
looking ahead into adventures of the unknown
only to realize the journey to this point is once more
I barely remember how I got here
and yet I don't want to leave, I need more
but the faces of the ones who came with me
keep flashing through my mind

the second hand keeps winding

I feel the bells chiming in my soul
