Just a dream

Eternis

Sometimes when I dream.
I see a home.
A home filled with a family.
None of them are related to each other.
But none of them care.
They spend every day with each other.
Joking.......playing......laughing...
Whenever one of them wept the others would always pick them back up.
None of them hated each other.
Because all they had were each other.
Sometimes somebody new would walk in that house and be welcomed with hugs and smiles.
They would feel loved.
I remember every time that I saw this..
I would smile.
I would walk to the door.
Ready to feel welcome as every member did.
I would turn the knob and open the door.
But when I walked in.
The house was empty....

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem is a reflecting of many who feel they don't belong. Loneliness is a pain. And it is not your fault. Treat people with kindness because you never know if it was you who drove their last words.

We all have our own place in this world. Sometimes we just have to find it, sit down and own it!
