Colours

austinos

Tired; black white fade out

Anger; red scream and shout

Happy; orange smiles up and about

Sad; blue downs you cry out loud

Excitement; yellow jump fly high and soar

Jealousy; green sickness and pollution of the mind

Confusion; you can't distinguish the colours anymore

Exhaustion; back to black and white in the line

  • Comment from author about the poem: Feelings tend to mean something, even for the most rational person. I pride myself on being a logic-driven person of rational belief, but feelings every now and then tend to cloud judgement. Just like a blend of colours, life isn't always in black and white - which interestingly, are not considered colours.
