The Monster in the Mirror

olivergreenwood20

Look in the mirror and see what you have become

scars riddle your body

anger fills your heart

a fake coy smile stretches across your pale tired face

your skin clings to your bones

you are hurting and in need

but people only see what they want…

a monster

Hurling paragraphs of hate for not being open

stabbing you in the back for wanting space

abandoning you because in their eyes you are nothing more than a burden,

and they question why an apology is never given.

But why should i apologize for the monster i have become?

No one ever apologized for making me this way...
