Letting Go 1

Masking

Why would you ever do such a thing? Why would you ever do such a thing?

Keeping hope in the darkest storm, was why with you I was always torn

That smile you showed happily, to the demons of reckless insanity.

The hand you lent to bury my sins, you let it peel off all my skin.

Which way do I go? Which way do I go?

There is no destination in a place we can't see, but you walked forward with prideful glee.

Stuck in the dark, it was no burden for your ark.

Mine was scarred and charred. No healing done so far.

You gave some boards and nails, as to prove your superiority over me does hail.

I did not need any help, But now god knows how I felt.
