How many times can I run away from answering them as if my life depends on it
How many times can I sit here frantically as if my body is begging me for help
But my lips can never bear to say the words
How many times can I type a message that explains it all as if it were so easy to talk about as what you had for lunch
But my fingers are too stubborn to press send
How many times will I go to call the doctor as if I could scream it from the top of my lungs
But my phone feels like it’s miles away
How many times can I read this poem desperately searching for answers
But realise there are none here
