I coloured her in with a thin flick back and twirl
I keep thinking of her, this wonderful girl
Where oak trees grow and learn how to blossom
Sit down beside them, my head on her bosom
I've always wondered in my poetic dreams
Imaginations are real and I know what that means
When we get soaked stood in the rain
Wake up every morning and I still feel her pain
Caught up beside myself, I go back to sleep
I don't understand it when it's me that she keeps
From what I can gather. was a kiss from a frog
I looked up to Venus as I passed out to God
Although intriguing, a species with a passion
When the lady above has taught me a lesson
Her lesson was this, to give her a kiss
Hold her gently as I kiss her lips
I'll buy her a Rose so everyone knows
Inside a flower, it's a beauty that grows
I fall back again for a number of times
I fell in love with this beauty of mine
A stunning disguise in her personality
That's why I wake up and love her so tenderly
I flew up to Mars just to Love rest and play
The stars are dreaming of us, I'd just like to say
I like how it is when she sleeps when I wake
But isn't it peculiar how I treat my mistakes
Take for example like when I'm tucked in
I stare out the window with no worry, no sin
The branches are breaking, the nights are dark
I closed my eyes and slept in the park
Where we had met, she was always there
It was the love and the planets we shared
My head is away in somewhere like Heaven
They'll save me a bed there in room number 7
But, before you believe this story so true
I'll paint her a picture if you wanted me to
We'll be dancing on cloud 99
It's a fantasy, all this dreaming of mine
Please take me back where I can see her
Leave me alone so I can shed her a tear
The best place on Earth is when I'm asleep
Get up in the morning if the alarm starts to bleep
It's a beautiful thing where this girl has gone
She lights up my life with this love I've won
I thank the Lord that she's always there
And the hope she gives and her tender care
A must is a must, so I'll say goodnight
Now that she and the Moon are tucked in tight.

This is so imaginatively real. Loved the wording, rythumn and wonderful flow it holds. A fav for me!
Bless you, my friend. I dug a little deeper each time I write a love poem, and it appears it has suited you well. Thank you,
You have a magic shovel, it digs golden words huh? Awesome!
Amazing writing Kevin. Love the way you dangle the threads of this story for each reader to embroider their own detailed tapestry.
In part, whilst reading, the words of a Stevie Wonder song came to mind "You took me riding in a rocket and gave me a star, and then a half a mile from heaven you dropped me back down to this cold, cold world".
Ah, you're so beautiful you have overwhelmed my humbleness. When comments like yours touch my heart it really brings a tear to my eye. Wonderful, my dear friend. I love Stevie Wonder, he's has a magical voice and alongside that hid voice always sends me up to heaven. your comment is also magical. Thank you.
A fine write Kevin.
