Last night as I slept uneasy in my bed
A mighty beast came and I severed its head
I woke up feeling fierce
I woke feeling freed
I realised a head severing was just what I need!
That sad and sorry girl
Spinning, sobbing tragic whirl!
Holted with a jolt
She needs to behold that sword in her heart
She needs to know you can never go back to the start.
Now it begins
And now it will end
It is my gift to treasure
Nevermore a prize for persecuting friend
Gone is the girl who took all the blame
Gone is the girl you tarnished with shame
Here she is rising
Here she is bold
Now her own story ready to unfold!
Last night as I slept uneasy in my bed
A mighty beast came and I severed its head
I woke up feeling fierce
I woke feeling freed
I realised a head severing was just what I need!

- Comment from author about the poem: I'm sure I write woe is me much better but I really did dream of cutting off a beasts head and the blood and gore did not bother me. I felt strong. I decided I spend my life succumbing to weak beasts in strong disguises. From now on I'm going to have my sword ready!

i love this very good poem.
Thanks little dove
There comes a time...... .... a time well described by you.
There follows another time, time to confront the world and gather anew, respect, friendship, love and devotion.
Thanks dusk arising. I have kind of giving up on seeking any if those things anywhere other than within me.
I have trusted and hoped and excused being trampled on all my life.
I have been trying to write a book for 4 years so I decided this year I will finish it. For me
