Silent Tears

m_squared

These silent tears slide down my face,

like gentle rain on cloudy days.

The sun shines for a slight moment,

but quickly fades, again I stand broken.

Its hard to live two separate lives.

One where I’m happy on the outside,

but when I get home I’m just a mess,

laying alone, silently depressed

I don’t ask for help, don’t want to be pitied,

I just want to drown in this bottle of whiskey.

Nobody knows how I really feel,

Everyone thinks the outside is real.

I hate crying alone but what choice do I have?

All of my “friends” won’t cry, but laugh.

I’m alone in life on this sad, sad island,

and that’s why I have to keep these tears silent.
