Tears In Melrose Park

ForeverJesus7

Another day,
day after day,
the one who is supposed to be the leader,
comes home late.
The children cry,
'Where is my daddy?
How come is always gone all day.
The mother,
the one who loves the children very much,
cooks for them all,
breakfast, lunch, and dinner,
gives the kids a bath,
and put them to bed.
Then when all four are sleeping,
and she is alone by herself at night,
she goes to the other side of the house,
as tears fall down her eyes.
As she begins to cry,
She looks to the sky and prays.
'Lord please help him.
Please show him the way'.
It takes about several weeks.
Still she has her strength.
So the Lord shows pity on her,
because He knows she'll go the length.
Then one day around four-o-clock,
when he was home he said,
'Honey we need to talk'.
Right then and there, she feared the worst.
She was holding back tears about to burst.
Then the last thing she expected, he said.
'I am sorry I was as I wrong.
I am sorry for everything that I did.
I am sorry that I was rarely ever,
with you or the kids.
I am sorry for all of the arguments'.
And just like that he hugged her,
put his face on her, as tears began to flow.
She also let out all her tears,
after she hugged him,
they all began to grow.

I saw side of him I greatly missed
The side I saw years ago when we first kissed
It takes a real man to admit he's wrong
I can't believe it took so long.
A giant weight lifted from her shoulders
As the stress began to fade
No more wondering what the day is going to hold
He is by my side again, happiness will unfold
Time to start over and be a family again
