Born

Hoopie

I wasn't born in a family with an empire.

I wasn't given any idea of a direction.

I was born in a place where you have to show respect.

I was not taught how to read or study.

I was born in a place where it can pop off and get bloody quick.

Deadly situations.

But I was told to be patient.

Study hard.

All would get better.

But what happens when you can't.

What happens when you ain't given a chance.

Because of the place you are put.

The cards that were dealt.

I know I'm not the only one who's felt this pain.
