I wasn’t suppose to be there
Or stay near you
She loved you from afar
I barely knew you
You wasn’t my type of guy
I wasn’t quiet enough to be yours
10 desks away or back stage
Backed up in the corner
I was in the dressing room
You were on stage
I didn’t have rosey cheeks
Or lengthy legs
I couldn’t give you a hand
Without making you beg
I couldn’t give you glasses
So I can see you better
I couldn’t give you long hair
With Adidas sweater
Couldn’t give you the world
Without a slight headache
Discovered her still on the floor
From underneath your bed board
I wasnt suppose to be there
Or get myself attached
I shouldn’t have lead you on
Without keeping a lie
I found the text between y’all
Your apology was an excuse
I don’t have lengthy legs
No where to run too
From you

 - Comment from author about the poem: Immature doubts of one self and comparison of those before who once held a great deal. Actions leading up to this point , making the first person realize they are not enough
