Possession Useless

here

When did Beauty become Ugly.

I am told I am beautiful.

The Flower that is picked

Cut from life force.

Slowly wilting

Dying

rotten and ugly

Tentatively I had bloomed

testing the unforgiving conditions-

Yet I was preyed upon

By Man

who wanted to keep me for himself.

Beautiful and Bright

Soft.

Slowly, starved of essence

Slowly, waiting to fade and die.

Waiting-

to be tossed aside

crushed underfoot

and be forgotten..
