You were either from a blurry dream or a vanishing memory, I will never know
However, I truly did love you, I knew it would show
You would spin me around until the world became one
However, I truly did love you; I thought as long as you were real, my life had finally begun
Every night the stars and comets would collide and create vast galaxies only we could see
However, I truly did love you as your name resurfaced behind my eyelids silently
We have seen every horizon line known to man (the globe was just a playground)
However, I truly did love you- it's just that when I looked for your eyes, no color was found
We wasted our summer days in the ocean shimmering turquoise
However, I truly did love you- it's just that I forgot the sound of your voice
The fires we built at night with warm colors of the day complimented the hushed tones of our whispers and murmurs, and oh, how you'd always grin!
However, I truly did love you- it's just that I no longer recall the feel of your skin
You were either from a blurry dream or a vanishing memory, I will never know
But, whatever you were, I must let you go
