Our coffee shop

chana

You spilled the words “ I love you “ like coffee on your T-shirt as you dab in baking soda to keep the damage invisible.

You wrapped the feeling “comfort” like the scarf around your neck keeping you warm as the weather outside drops.

You wore the “me” in your eyes as they take in the room looking for companionship.

Saw the “us” in your breath as you inhale and exhale a sigh of relief

Held “forever” in between our palms-and endowment.

Blew the “chemistry “ into the coffee as the fumes surround your face.

The room is starting to close in.

Please let me remember this memory

Much longer.
