Shades of Blue of a Young Synaesthesia Woman

Jim Yates

Shades of Blue of a Young Synaesthesia Woman

Blue is her colour

And always will be.

She is blue through and through

Is this young synaesthesia woman

Blue from her head to her delicate toes.

Her every curve and move are thoroughly blue

As she sashays her way down rue Batignolles.

When I think of her, I think of blue

When we first met, her halo shone of shimmering bleu celeste

Her eyelashes, eyebrows and long lush hair of colbert

Cradles her porcelain face in delicate shades of azure.

Her lips are a deep and sensuous ultramarine

That whisper words of love with a soft kiss.

Her smoky sapphire eyes shine as they mix the colours of her being

Every word she writes is a delicate shade of indigo -

Each word spoken, dipped in the most subtle tones of glorious zaffre.

When she smiles, it is one of cerulean

Like a bright clear sky without a cloud in sight.

When she sings, the notes dance to the rhythm of turquoise delight.

Blue is her colour

And always will be.

She is blue through and through

Is this young Synaesthesia woman

As she sashays her way down the Batignolles

Captivating all who come her way.
