"Once Happy, Now Fallen"

Ryuji

I am lost...

Lost in a darkness that I did not expect...

Thrust into a grief that has overtaken my soul.

The light within me is dwindling...

It is passing away.

The shadows have caught me in their claws.

I cannot escape.

Tears flow from my eyes...

As pieces of my heart fall away.

I am broken...

Broken and abandoned...

Suffocating.

All my happiness has been snuffed out.

I remain a shell of my former self...

A vessel.

The light has cast me away.

I am falling...

Choking on my screams of pain...

As my heart is ripped in two.

It is dark...

And I am alone...

With a heart beyond repair.

I understand. Completely. Thank you for sharing these emotions. I know how naked I feel when I share some of my poetry. This is very heartfelt.

Ya... And honestly some people might not understand... That most of what I write (when it is dark) is just all the negative spilling out with no positive so that i can get the negative out of my mind and can focus more on the possitive. So sometimes i dont FULLY mean what i write... Its like a "concentrated" version of the negatives... So it comes out harsher than it really is in reality. Thank you by the way

Before commenting i read your rely above. I'm pleased that i did because i now realise what a wonderful therapy your writing is for you.
Yes your piece here is extremely negative but very well constructed. You are a talented writer which i hope gives you positive pleasure. Self knowledge, knowing you are good at some stuff, is a great bolster of the spirit in dark times.
