Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow.

kevin browne

Love me like there's no tomorrow
Blossom in my heart forever more
Once we had loved it all
I'm only half the shadow of what's just me
So, blow me a kiss to remember
And together we'll be free.

There are the highs and down times
There's a story in every shop window
A reflection as though it may seem
Just wipe away my teardrops, please
So we can get on with what we want
Summer nights played cold out on Streets

I heard those paving slabs move close to me
Heard her heart was cold but her soul was free
She bleeds my heart till there's no more hurt
Where her smile was painfully thin
Live by the death of your own heart, my lady
It's the will to love, to live and win

Let's say we romanced and played Violin
Play some piano, played Choplin
Where theatre shows lost love scenes
And her forever falling in love with me
These broken wings of mine, they'll flap
Across the Oceans seas

And in the land of hope but not quite
We'll surely sail those seven seas with ease
For many a mermaid whisper
Upon these beachy sands
And in all this burning heat
We'll make do with what we can.

Romeo, oh, Romeo, where the Hell are you
Juliet, oh, Juliet, I'm up in the tower on fire
Alas, Alas, my wounded man, screams her
Alas, Alas, I've burned my ass, screams him
For the water poured from his heart
When the floor hit his chin.

Turn the page to read another poem
It's always better when you don't know em
But, as a love shows and feels
Wherever it may ponder
The beauty of it all
Is in its golden wonder?

  • dusk arising

What a convoluted tale of love and romance.
"Live by the death of your own heart, my lady" i think knew her.
Reflecting long after the pavement moved.
