Pocket Watch

ForeverJesus7

I see your outer beauty.

You are precious in every detail.

Yet, at first you seem hard and cold,

but when we get closer to eachother,

you allow me to hold you.

You open up, and I see you have a clean heart.

I see you are, just a complicated soul.

You need someone to grow.

So from now until forever,

together we will grow old.

Everyday, you tell me something new -

something you always mension.

You are always by my side.

If a day goes by,

where I am disorganized,

it is because I was not paying attention.

  • Comment from author about the poem: It seems in this piece that I am talking about a woman. In actuality however, like the title says, I am referring to a pocket watch. This piece was written in good humor, but I suppose that this could also be about love. Persistence is key
