I stopped dancing to my crackle. I just stand and stare at my record player because I'm tired of kicking it.. it won't stop playing! Great poem. It creates good imagery

Great poem, I've been at the breaking point myself it shows in my poetry as well.. thank you for sharing. You may have inspired me to write one on suicide. I'll mention you if I do.

as cliché as this sounds, this poem is deep. I totally connected with the pain implied throughout your poem. Allow your past to motivate you to have a better life than what you've already experienced. Much love -jaz. 💘

Oooooooh MARISSA - Is this a confession or a "cri de coeur" or both. Chagrin d'Amour (The Pain of Love) is (in my experience too) very hard to bear. BUT while our hearts still flutter there is still the promise of love. Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN

WELCOME MARISSA - Thanks for posting such a haunting first poem ! Like an old scratched 78 it crackles with the passage of time but in the last line it encourages us to create new sounds ! I'm 33 so i'm old enough to have seen and heard 78's at my Grannies and also old enough to have gathered a few cracks and scratches ! I love the message of the poem that the mistakes of the past can too easily define us - we can all be "digitally remastered" eliminate the "damage" and be reborn (rereleased !) as something new and beautiful ! I'm only a third of the way through my life (33) but you elegant poem and your comment has given me a new horizon ! Thanks for caring - Yours BRIAN
