It is not Love
Cheeky Missy said:

Excellently expressing the reality of "being in love". "Love" is used to refer to many things, therefore the assessment that it is merely a "four letter word" may mean to explain the more horrifying reality that it is thrown around too freely, deceiving and thereby hurting people. The well-meaning or false "I love you" that can send one into an ecstasy, comfort and yet later turn out to be untrue. It is serious advice. And that patient kind love, is true. Excellent simile that what the speaker is experiencing is like softening gentle soothing music. Thought-provoking. Your author's note made it make all the more sense and mean more.
