Devil Kisses
cosmacpan said:

\"The kiss of life, the kiss of death\"

tears of gratitude or hot and eager kisses
all these must be lived not imagined
but it is not given to all of us to know the suffering

Ode to Mother Nature
L. B. Mek said:

oh snap, we both had that majestic nature
as our topic for last postings,
although mine is a mere feeble scribble
yours, dear Poetess
made me think I was reading Wordsworth
only brilliantly attuned, to our 21st century
poetic\'s delicacy of generational, preference;
from \'Ode to Mother Nature\' July 2021
\'I want to follow your forested paths through misty woodland streams
drink my morning sun on crystal mountain tops
Mother Nature, I have always loved you
You, the mountains, the oceans are my mother
You, the cold, clear creeks are my home and my refresher\'..
(and yet centuries apart
a love of nature, mirrored
as if written side by side)
\'Five years have past; five summers, with the length
Of five long winters! and again I hear
These waters, rolling from their mountain-springs
With a soft inland murmur.--Once again
Do I behold these steep and lofty cliffs,
That on a wild secluded scene impress\'

There be plenty of wisdom and some goddessing going on with owls, so you are on target Goddess of the Mist.
And you\'ve added value in your well constructed poem.

Power of Your Song
L. B. Mek said:

\'All that powerful love you\'ve been singing of
all those things that you say you will do
is it all just beautiful poetry
meant to make a romantic heart blue

Still, I will lose myself in them
all those promises, strung along for so long\'..
relatable on so many levels, a great read

Forgive me for asking, Goddess of the Mist: is this in any sense autobiographical?

poignant last line!
\'between all the chaos of circumstance and the unfathomably accumulated \'good lucks\' that impacts a life,
exactly what role does choice
and intent of purposed \'will\', play
are we the true architects of consequence or destiny, or is reality our contrasting - construct of orderly comprehension
for this insanity we dwell in..\'
a wonderful write, challenging in depth of scope and complexity of topic dear poet, thank you for inspiring my little scribbled reply,
a great read!

Lovely flowing lyrical verses.

You have me wondering. Is our reality actually seen through a dream we take with us wherever we go?
