Good evening MH (love your pen-name !). Welcome to MPS it is a very empathetic site. It operates by reading & commenting on each others poems ~ OK.
Nature may be *Red in Tooth & Claw* in the everyday operation of complex Food Chains & Food Webs. But She always kills for purpose ! She is never as brutal as Man in the *Killing Fields* ~ especially with Weapons of Mass Destruction ! My Grandparents told me how the stark & grim *Bomb Sites* in WW2 (1939 - 45) quickly became covered in Rose Bay Willow Herb - with beautiful magenta flowers. Nature transformed the ugliness wrough by War into a thing of beauty.
Thanks for sharing an elegant Poem on a bitter sweet scene.

There can always be beauty found in the most horrific places.

Yeah, this is very true. The beauty found in the midst of carnage can sometimes be very surprising.
