It is well structured - Three balance quatrains with a consitent rhyme pattern (xaxa abab xcxc). However - as you say - it paints a very SAD picture ! We do sometimes get trapped into Mental & Physical situations we cant fully understand ! I have faced such situations in my life - especially in relationships. However things changed when I met Brian three years ago (when I was 28) and we are getting married in April - AMEN. In my experience therfore there is always HOPE - however sad the past !
