The flower I left to Bloom

You were wise to leave your flower to flourish, that way the beauty was there for others. Your words reminded me of my grandmother. She taught me that lesson. I never pick the flowers in my garden. Lovely little poem.

The flower I left to Bloom

My comments on the poem “The flower I left to bloom”
When left alone, the flower blooms and lives on for the time allotted to it by nature. It’s ironical that we love the flower so much that we kill it off by plucking it away. Just as we keep animals in cages or on chains, though we say we love them.
Cutting off the flower certainly shortens its life. Left alone, it will weather the winds, the storms, the drought, etc., for as long as it can.
“But pleasures are like poppies spread ---
You seize the flower, the bloom is shed;
Or like snow falls in the river ---
A moment white, then melts forever.”
--Robert Burns (1749-1796)

I find, in your succinctly worded poem
a link, to the interconnectivity
of all things
from nurturing Nature to Heartbeat\'s
engulfed by desire\'s wings,
longing Hymns, aside
grateful musings
and all gift wrapped
with that true eloquence
of inked insight..
(such an impressive write
thank you! for choosing to share)

quote \"you can\'t hide your lying eyes and your smile is a thin disguise\" LOL
Are you reading truth or lies in those eyes. Maybe the owner of the eyes has you outsmarted.
There you go, you got me thinking.
