Where There\'s A Will There\'s a Way

Your title caught my attention because it’s a motto i go by and I find it so ironic on my end that my calendar says January 18th today and I just published a poem about the power of WILL. I sense power. And I just wanted to share that with you ❤️

\'The masses point me out giving me up without a second thought

I look down at my feet shifting and my palms sweating

I didn\'t ask for these gifts and talents nor did I ever want to feel special

I swallow my fears and push the doubts no scream no shouts

I raise my right fist the people stare I raise it higher and match their glares\'
Amen!!!
(sing loud, feel free
my Songbird, sister
be the Best
you have it, within you
to just: Be...!)
thank you for sharing
inspirational, to say the least
a powerful write;
especially love
the humble vulnerability, you imbued
into your choice words

Fist bump, always be proud of whom you are and where you come from know yourself worth and where you want to go in life, love the poem.

\' Footsteps \' speaks so clearly of how you view your own Faith, the words of the piece armouring ones true belief and love of our Lord for his unerring love and devotion to his faithful. Especially the end line where Jesus affirms he is forever by our sides.

Just read a quote while browsing images ... when we give our wounded hearts to Jesus he gives us his... poignant I think that your poem speaks equally of our love being returned through Faith and love.

Purpose, On purpose
L. B. Mek said:

really like the gentleness in your tone
suggestive, maybe even insistent
but never overwhelming
or simulating, aesthetic cries of despair
a proud lady, queen in-waiting
poetically voicing truth\'s
we fortunate few
fated to read, may listen
and hopefully: heed..
(a great write
\'in my humble opinion\'
thanks for sharing)

Oh such good words and such a dilemma because one the one hand one is afraid of being selfish and on the other you give yourself totally away. It\'s such a seesaw.....

I like the contradictory notes
in the meaningful themes you discuss:
\'I\'m slowly dying as I fade into the backgrounds of what\'s expected of me\'

\'What am I besides loving and transparent..
A mother, a black woman, a daughter, a sister, an aunt..
A translucent being\'..
(those conflicting perception\'s
of self
you unfurl and ink, poetic
help add, a level of added dimensionality and depth
that few, have the insight
to realise, for themselves
let alone
word with such brevity;
indeed
the many roles, that\'s asked
for us to fulfil
when we: Choose
to love wholeheartedly
is seemingly, all-consuming
at times
but, I think
somewhere in-between
those deep, sipped - sigh\'s
of our momentary relief
we have to realise
we Too: Deserve
a taste of the abundant, Joy
life, still has to offer us!
we may not be
the life of the party
and those around us
may never acknowledge, let alone
reciprocate
the dedication and love, we give
willingly, but
that doesn\'t stop us, from indulging
in a little, self appreciating - fun;
little things, we can do for ourselves
little secret treats
we can gift ourselves and indulge-in,
and maybe
when we start, taking care of ourselves
a little better,
we demonstrate
to those around us
how, they too
can offer us a helping hand
here and there,
to lighten our load
and insure,
we too, get to feel the care and love
they\'ve not been able, to demonstrate
in a way, we recognised before...)

To Have and to Hold
Nicholas Browning said:

This is certainly a viable question. I often wonder the same thing. Do we just keep going and let it find us, or do we actively search for it? Maybe the expectation is what gets in the way, but then again maybe not. I enjoyed the read, and wish you the best.
